4th January 2010

Dear Media Member,

Thank you for your interest in Crown’s 2010 Aussie Millions Poker Championship, arguably the most prestigious poker tournament in the Southern Hemisphere.

With an expanded schedule of 20 events, that will see the world’s poker elite tangle with online qualifiers, cashed-up locals and the odd celebrity over a period of 18 days, the spectacular will commence on Thursday 14 January and conclude on Sunday 31 January, 2010.

Crown will continue to provide daily email updates to media. These emails will provide information on the winners of each event, final payouts, player profiles (if available) and storylines that develop. So the good news is, even if you can’t make it to Melbourne, if you contact us to be added to our media email distribution list, we will ensure you get the daily email updates.

Refer to the following Media Accreditation Application Form and Media Guidelines. Please note the closing date is Monday 4 January, 2010 and please return via fax on +61 3 9292 7041.

Please ensure that you and your team have reviewed the Media Guidelines very carefully – before filling out your Media Accreditation Application Form – to ensure you are fully briefed and aware of the rules. If there are any issues, they must be addressed prior to your arrival at the event.

Once submitted, you will receive an approval email that your Media Accreditation has been granted.

Media Accreditation Access Passes will be available for collection from Thursday 14 January 2010 from the Aussie Millions Media Centre, located within the Crown Poker Room - High Limit Area.

Media Access is ‘restricted’ to certain areas of the Crown Poker Room. This is determined by media status and work priority, and is also affected by security and Occupational Health & Safety procedures.

Crown’s goal is to provide the best possible service to all journalists granted credentials. We appreciate your understanding, and look forward to working with you.

Kind regards

NATASHA STIPANOV

DEADLINE FOR MEDIA ACCREDITATION IS MONDAY 4 JANUARY, 2010.
PLEASE RETURN VIA FAX ON +61 3 9292 7041.

Aussie Millions Media Centre:
Please be advised that the Media Centre will be open for Accredited Media Only and no guests will be permitted to enter without prior approval by a Crown Media Relations Representative.

Location: Crown Poker Room - High Limit Area (Level B2, Crown Entertainment Complex)

Hours: 10:00am to 2:00am (Thursday 14 January to Monday 1 February 2010)

Entry: Accredited Media Only (no guests will be permitted to enter without prior authority)

Media Accred. Access Passes:  Your personalised Media Accreditation Access Pass must be worn at all times when on-site at the Crown Entertainment Complex.

Internet: A free wireless hotspot service (or Wi-Fi) is available at Crown’s Aussie Millions Poker Championship. This system is the same as is found in large hotels and airports. Wi-Fi refers to a system which enables wireless connection to the Internet via a network card inserted in to a laptop. Service provision applies to the Crown Poker Room, Aussie Millions Media Centre, Studio 3 (venue for the Main Event ‘Final Table) and both Crown Towers and Crown Promenade hotels.

Security:
This service will be protected from the Internet by a dedicated firewall. However, the security of the data on your personal laptop will remain your responsibility. It is recommended that individuals install personal firewall software on their laptops to prevent hackers on-site using the Wi-Fi service and externally via the Internet. It is also recommended that all email and file transfers be encrypted when using this wireless hotspot service. A simple change in your email software can enable this feature. These precautions should already be in place by those who use the Internet regularly. Accredited Media representatives utilising the wireless hotspot must have the latest anti-virus protection software installed on their laptop.

Testing: Australian-based media who would like to trial the service pre-Tournament should contact the Crown Media Relations Department. We also welcome assisting major agencies by setting up added security services like selected Virtual Private Networks (VPNS).

Contingency: With the assistance of our Internet Service Provider (ISP), we have a number of contingency plans in place, in the event of any problems with the hotspot service. These range from multiple links to our ISP, dual connections from our ISP to the internet and multiple base stations for coverage.

Facilities: Limited desk space, bottled water and power provided at no charge.

Security: Crown takes no responsibility for any equipment or property brought into the Media Centre.
