Friday 27th January

Today was Day 4 in the Aussie Millions Main Event and we played from 26 players down to just 12 within about seven hours. The very friendly French Canadian Yann Dion bagged the most chips to take us into Day 5, but the biggest couple of stories came from Phil Ivey, who, after taking such a long break from poker, has finally made a return and a successful one so far. Phil is one twelfth of the talent in tomorrow's field. Incredibly, another player returning is Lee Nelson. Not only has Lee final tabled the Aussie Millions Main Event twice, but he took the title back in 2006 for just over $1.2 million. Now he's so close to making his third appearance, and quite possibly his second title. Here's how tomorrow's line up looks:

Tonight in Studio 3 a handful of the world's most recognisable players showed up with pockets full of chips, ready to grind it out in a televised high-stakes cash game. It started with Jason Mercier, Daniel Negreanu, Gus Hansen and a couple of the highly anticipated "businessmen" from Macau who make the games wild. Players came and went throughout the night, and in the end it was Sam Trickett who was the most successful with a rumoured win of almost half a million dollars. Wow! Jason Mercier was also quite successful. The cash game will certainly make for some excellent TV viewing.
